Week 13 Fantasy Football Dynasty Waiver Wire Pickups

Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups

ONE MORE WEEK until the Fantasy Football Playoffs! If you're reading this, I assume you are in PRIME position to make the playoffs OR have already have a spot LOCKED UP and you want a higher seed heading into the playoffs. Well, you've come to the right place!

In this article, we're going to talk about players who are owned in 50% or less in Yahoo leagues who SHOULD be owned in more leagues. We discuss 3+ players per position (25 total players) that we think should be owned in both shallow AND deep leagues for Week 13 and BEYOND.

PLEASE NOTE: We have ADDED a "Handcuff" Running Back list. It's RB Handcuff SZN and there are WIDELY available backup RBs that could be your lottery ticket IF the stud RB in front of them misses time for any reason.

QB

1. Nick Foles (33% owned) - Foles has a TASTY matchup in Week 13 when he returns home to face the Buccaneers. Since coming off the injured list, Foles has averaged 47.5 pass attempts, which has resulted in an average of 284 yards and a TD. The Buccaneers are a middle-of-the-pack defense who find themselves on the field A LOT with Winston constantly turning the ball over.

Looking Ahead: After Week 13, Foles faces the Chargers, Raiders, and Falcons to wrap up the fantasy playoffs. His fantasy-friendly schedule puts him on the streaming map and for those looking for depth in case of an injury should think about picking him up or keeping him on your watchlist.

2. Ryan Tannehill (26% owned) - With how well Tannehill has been playing this year, it was hard not to put him #1 on this list. I gave the slight edge to Foles due to his Week 13 matchup. BUT Tannehill has been INCREDIBLY CONSISTENT since taking over the starting job back in Week 7. During his time as the starting QB, he is averaging 255 yards, 2 TDs + his rushing floor keeps his floor high. Last game, Tannehill had 7 carries for 40 rushing yards and 2 TDs. This man is getting the job done, and he can help you get the job done heading into the fantasy playoffs.

Looking Ahead: After Week 13, Tannehill faces the Raiders, Texans, and Saints to wrap up the fantasy playoffs. A VERY fantasy-friendly playoff schedule.

*DEEP LEAGUE*

3. Kyle Allen (18% owned) - Last game against the Saints, Allen threw for 256 yards and 3 TDs. In DEEP leagues, Allen has a solid floor as long as McCaffrey is behind him and he's throwing the ball to Moore, Samuel, and Olsen. This week he faces the Redskins at home, which makes Allen a GREAT streaming option this week.

RB

1. Bo Scarbrough (43% owned) - Scarbrough made my waiver wire pickup list last week and I also suggested streaming him as my #2 option right behind Jonathan Williams. He went on to receive a WHOPPING 18 carries and turned that into 98 yards. Even though he lost a fumble, it's CLEAR that he is the TOP DOG in Detroit and he needs to be scooped up EVERYWHERE. For all of the FA RBs owned in under 50% of leagues, Scarbrough is the #1 add and needs to be owned as we head into the last week of the regular season and into the playoffs.

2. Benny Snell Jr. (5% owned) - Much to the chagrin of Jaylen Samuels owners in Week 12, Snell Jr. returned from injury to receive 21 carries. Wow. He needs to be picked up in ALL formats ESPECIALLY if you are a James Conner owner. Needless to say, Samuels was not getting the job done as a runner, so the Steelers happily handed the reigns over to Snell Jr. in Conner's absence. Conner's injury has been ongoing and a nuisance to his fantasy owners, and since there's no definitive word on if Conner will play in Week 13, Snell Jr. should be picked up for those looking for RB help or a possible lottery ticket.

3. Nyheim Hines (30% owned) - With Jonathan Williams snatched up in over 50% of Yahoo leagues, Hines is a solid alternative since he is getting the change-of-pace work along with his cemented 3rd down role. Even though Jordan Wilkins was activated and available last game, the Colts only used Williams and Hines. As long as the Colts are using this RB recipe, look for Hines to have a solid role in this offense and provide low-end, usable stats.

*HANDCUFF SPECIAL*

It's Handcuff SZN! The following Running Backs are widely available across Yahoo leagues and DESERVE to be owned in case of an injury. If you have room at the end of your bench then you should consider stashing one more more of these guys. Even if you don't own any of the top stud running backs, you should consider adding these guys as a potential playoff lottery ticket.

  • Rashaad Penny (20%) After his Week 12 performance, Penny should see more work as the change-of-pace back. He could make for a low-end FLEX even with Chris Carson healthy.

  • Alexander Mattison (23%)

  • Tony Pollard (14%)

  • Reggie Bonnafon (2%)

  • Gus Edwards (11%)

  • Wayne Gallman Jr. (5%)

WR

1. Randall Cobb (30% owned) - Cobb made my list last week and he makes it again! He has been extremely consistent for Dak Prescott working as his safety valve. He has received 7+ targets per game for the past 4 weeks and has turned that into 5 receptions for 85.5 yards and 2 total TDs. He is a PPR dandy and needs to be owned in A LOT more leagues.

2. Robby Anderson (53% owned) - He's a little over 50% owned BUT after receiving 5 targets for 4 receptions, 86 yards, and a TD it's TIME to pick him up. The next two weeks he faces the Bengals THEN the Dolphins. It doesn't get much friendlier than that! He could be a very valuable rental for the next two weeks as you begin your fantasy playoff journey.

*DEEP LEAGUE*

3. Russell Gage (7% owned) - If Julio Jones misses any time or is limited, Gage should be a SOLID WR3 for your team in Week 13. When Jones went out with a shoulder injury last week, Gage went on to receive 10 targets and turned that into 8 receptions for 76 yards. Even if Jones comes back healthy, Gage has been receiving steady targets in Hooper's absence and that should continue as long as Hooper is OUT.

4. N'Keal Harry (14% owned) - Harry was HYPED over the summer as a potential fantasy asset, but was unfortunately sent to the IR with an ankle injury. Since coming back two weeks ago, he has averaged 4 targets per game. He hasn't done much with those targets, but he seems to be finding his groove. He caught a 10-yard TD from Brady last game, and I'm willing to take a chance on him in DEEP leagues to see if he can keep up the steady targets he's been receiving.

TE

1. Jack Doyle (33% owned) - If you didn't hear, Eric Ebron has officially been sent to the IR ending his season. Enter Doyle. I'm not saying he will be a world-beater, but he will be guaranteed 4-8 targets per game, which is valuable in PPR leagues. Give him a look if you need TE help.

2. Mike Gesicki (15% owned) - As long as Fitzpatrick is starting, Gesicki will have a safe floor in both DEEP and SHALLOW leagues. He's averaging over 6 targets er game since Week 9, and has the complete trust of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Go ahead and stream him for his solid floor.

3. David Njoku (30% owned) - Njoku has missed the last 9 games due to injury, but most reports have him finally making his return in Week 13. If you are looking for a possible TE lottery ticket heading into the playoffs, Njoku is your guy. There's obvious bust potential here, but if he is 100% healthy, Mayfield will be looking his way a lot in the RED ZONE.
